Ukraine urges Russia to stop mass violations of human rights in Crimea

MFA: During the general debate under agenda item 9 of the 42nd session of the UN Human Rights Council “Racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related forms of intolerance, follow-up and implementation of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action”, the delegation of Ukraine draws attention to the ongoing violations of human rights of Crimean Tatars in the occupied Crimea.

Ukraine asked the international community to increase pressure on the Russian Federation to force it to fulfil its own obligations under international law, in particular the order of the International Court of Justice to restore the activities of the Mejlis, and to immediately stop the violation of human rights in the occupied territory of Crimea.
