The European Union will provide Ukraine €4 million in support of public initiatives to control the spread of coronavirus. This was reported by the EU Delegation to Ukraine on Facebook.
According to EU Ambassador to Ukraine Matti Maasikas, the finances will be allocated to support volunteers who assist in efforts to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
“Ukrainian civil society took up positions on the frontline of service. To win over COVID-19, everyone’s efforts are needed. Thousands of volunteers are helping vulnerable groups in Ukraine. They deliver food to the elderly, support teachers in online education, and fight against disinformation. The EU is providing €4 million to support these public initiatives,” said Maasikas.
