Yarmarok: National Sorochynsky Fair 2019 will be held from 20 to 25 August, traditionally in the village of Veliky Sorochintsy, Mirgorodsky district, Poltava region, in the birthplace of Nikolai Gogol. This year marks the 210th anniversary of the birth of the brilliant writer Mykola Gogol, who commemorated the Sorochynsky Fair in the novel “The Night Before Christmas “and reflected the poetry of national life describing different people and combining all that with a big sense of humor.
Although the fair has a centuries-old history, it is very modern and relevant. This year the fair will present not only an agrarian town and honey town but also a town of the best winemakers of Ukraine.

Every year more than a thousand companies, private entrepreneurs, craftsmen, catering and entertainment establishments participate in the Fair. Thousands of participants of artistic musical bands, songs, and dance folk art demonstrate their skills at five stages, in the evening there are concerts of Ukrainian pop stars.
