Germany registered for the first time more fully recovered coronavirus patients than people still infected with the virus, according to Robert Koch Institut. The Robert Koch Institute reported 64,300 recoveries as of Monday, compared to 123,016 current COVID-19 infections. According to the RKI data, the number of new infections and deaths decreased for the third day in a row.
All 16 federal states are affected. The incidence (cases per 100,000) of COVID-19 is highest in Bavaria (252), Baden-Wuerttemberg (222), Saarland (210) and Hamburg (205). Most cases (68%) are between 15 and 59 years old.
Of reported cases, 49% are male and 51% are female. Among notified cases, 965 were children under 5 years of age, 2,409 children aged 5 to 14 years, 84,001 persons aged 15 to 59 years, 23,795 persons aged 60 to 79 years and 11,645 persons aged 80 years and older (see Figure 3). The age of 201 notified cases is unknown. The median age of cases is 50 years.
