Kuleba outlined priorities of Ukrainian Chairmanship in OSCE security forum

Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba officially opened Ukraine’s chairmanship of the OSCE Security Cooperation Forum, which was held for the first time online.

During his speech, he noted that currently the OSCE remains a vital platform for cooperation and dialogue, while the Security Forum for Cooperation focuses on the politico-military aspect of security – the fundamental element of the organization.

In his speech, the Foreign Minister outlined the priorities of the Ukrainian Chairmanship, among which are strengthening the OSCE’s role in promoting the peace process between Ukraine and Russia and resolving the conflict in eastern Ukraine; the security situation in the Black Sea-Azov region and its militarization; countering the means of conducting a hybrid war; concealed and illegal use of private military companies in conflict zones; countering the challenges associated with the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, in particular, in the armed forces; and preventing the spread of illegal weapons.
