Germany Provides Medical Assistance to Wounded Ukrainian Soldiers

German Embassy: The Bundeswehr brought 15 Ukrainian soldiers who were injured in the fighting in eastern Ukraine to Germany for treatment in the Bundeswehr clinics.
TThis is the eighth time that the Bundeswehr has been involved in such a mission in Ukraine. Between 2014 and 2019, the Bundeswehr transported a total of 112 wounded Ukrainians, 88 of whom were hospitalized in Bundeswehr hospitals. Nine injured were treated in civilian clinics.

The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ukraine, Ernst Reichel, and the German Defence Attaché in Ukraine, Colonel i.G. Norbert Heß, approved this medical transport to Germany on 14 May 2019 and gave a press conference.
